Employees and Registers can be marked as off sick. When their sickness has been reported, a notification will be sent to the Managers to notify them of their absence. If an Employee is sick and the scheduled staff drops below the EYFS requirement then a cover request will be sent to all remaining staff who are not working or sick themselves. This allows your nursery to respond in real time to real life events. When scheduling, a ‘first call’ member of staff will be assigned to a shift at random providing they’re available. The cover request will be sent to them first. If they’re unable to accept due to sickness, the cover request will be sent to the rest of the team. Cover works on a first come, first served basis and the request notifications will be removed from other employees’ devices once the position is filled. This helps you guarantee you’re meeting the requirements of EYFS guidance.
To mark an Employee or Register as sick, go to the Dashboard. You can only be sick within a 24 hour period. Tap the red ‘sick’ button and provide a description for the sickness, this will be used for reference in the future. Tap confirm and that’s it!
