Scheduling

The scheduling feature takes into consideration Employee and Register details. This includes contracted hours, availability, register bookings and register ages. The goal of the scheduler is to produce a fair and optimum rota that ensures you have met EYFS requirements as well as staff expectations.


The scheduler works on a weekly cycle and the app will always display a rota for four weeks ahead. Adjustments are made when editing Registers, Employees and Location settings. For example, if a new Register is added for next week the scheduler will adjust the rota to ensure your business can accommodate them.


The rota statistics are provided on the Dashboard (as seen below) to show how many staff and registers are scheduled and the EYFS requirements for each shift. It’s possible to have too many or too little staff due to the requirement of matching contracted hours. As seen in the image below, the EYFS is 1 whereas 2 staff are scheduled. This is an opportunity to understand where you have too many or too little staff to accommodate the current register count. Managers are scheduled based on their availability and not EYFS.
